High maintenance and High wages. We have a few players in that category, and personally I would prefer AM to go the Dann/Johnson route. Him and Montgomery are on the ball and I'd trust them. Let the higher wage earners fight to get in the team, fight to keep their place or just be allowed to leave if they don't. Ferguson, Carr, Johnson, Gardner even Bowyer don't hide in the treatment room, and none of them are anywhere near top paid Premier League players. BUT - they deliver. |

I don't care if OFM never scores for us again. I don't care if it was a tap in. I don't care if my or your grandmother could have scored it. Just to remind everyone - HE SCORED THE WINNER IN THE CUP FINAL FOR US. :ball: |

**thumbup And he is a good player. What do you want to do, give him a pension for life? Marry him ? He is a pro footballer and gave all of us the best day in most of our lifetimes. I'm not decrying him **thumbup But my point was that the highly talented, highly skilled and highly paid players need to give our team the benefit of their skills. Our highest paid players have been missing since the Final. Our workhorses and committed professionals have played through pain, taken injections and faught to stay on the pitch when concussed. Our highest paid players have been missing since the Final. It's time to put those abundant skills into support of their team mates. Who are running on empty and playing through pain barriers. Oba is a terrific player. **thumbup I want him on the pitch. |

He has played in all of about 4/5 games and has 2 goals..... Better strike rate than the rest of our strikers????? I think so...... It might have been a tap in, it was in the 90th minute to win us the game, he showed great composure, something another so called striker probably wouldnt have done... |

Personally I would be thrilled if we signed him, bargain for £5m, just look at his past transfer fees, hes never really flopped where ever hes gone Him and Zigic would be a good partnership next season if they have a pre season to get to know each other and both being fully fit |

Martins and Faddy Up front for me ;) Imagine if everyone was fit this season: GK: Foster RB: Carr CB: Johnson CB: Jiranek/Dann LB: Ridgewell RM: Larsson CM: Ferguson CM: Gardner/Bowyer LM: Beasajour ST: Martins ST: McFadden Easily survive for me. Survive this eason and we shall get ourselves higher up the table next season providing we can keep a few names. |

You cannot take that goal tally over 6 games to be honest, 2 goals is good but they were on a plate for him, I prefer Jerome to be honest. |

It dosen't matter, in just 6 games Martins has scored just 3 less than Jerome has got in 41 games! Jeromes strike rate is one a midfielder or defender would be 'happy' with, not a striker! Not getting a league goal in close to 30! hours of action is not even anywhere close to being acceptable.... He's paid as a striker, to put the ball in the back of the net but that is just something he physically can not do..... Hard work and endevour is all well and good but when your the clubs first choice striker you need to be scoring goals...... |

Have a look at Martins career goal/game stats. They are impressive, he has done well at some top level clubs. He is injured at the moment; so why knock him? Maybe the final goal was a tap in; but I'm just glad the chance fell to him rather than Jerome who might just have snatched at it and put the ball in row Z. Forget what he has done this season, if we could get him for the reported £5m then it would be a very good move for next season. |

Chucho scored what 4/5 goals missed a pen and had one go in off his backside and everyone on the forum couldn't get enough I'm sure there Are 50 percent of forum members with chucho posters all over there house this bloke plays what 5 scores 2 and started how many 1 2 at most and he's useless waste of space??? What's wrong with you all.. Tell u what I'm glad it fell to him because Jerome or chucho and we would have all been in tears, sign him up get him fit and he'll conquer Europe! Needs a good pre season and time, Zigic got slated after same amount of games and he's come good K.r.o |

It's a bit like 'where's Wally'. Someone told me that he didn't bother calling McLeish after the Nigeria game and went AWOL. Does anyone know about this? Worrying if it's true. He's done very well when he's played so far. He scored a great goal in the cup, the winner at Wembley (and don't forget when he rounded the keeper and almost scored another). He has been unlucky in the PL. Despite flashes of brilliance, we were in really poor form and he wasn't getting a sniff of the ball until he came into our own half. Martins could do some serious damage with Hleb supporting him. We need him back ASAP. I just hope he's committed to the cause... It would be good to know either way. |

Sorry that Sheffield goal was definitely not on a plate, not even a bowl. He worked hard for that goal and showed composure to finish. In the dying minutes of the Carling cup final aswell he showed what he can do if he gets a ball over the top. |
